This painting was created from a simple yet powerful fascination: the mesmerizing colors and organic forms of variscite. Without realizing it, I had been carrying this stone close to me since 2017, wearing a ring whose identity I only recently discovered. The painting and the jewel, born in the same year, revealed their connection much later, as if the stone had been quietly guiding me all along.
Variscite, with its delicate greens and intricate patterns, is often associated with calm, inner balance, and the gentle unfolding of truth. In painting it, I was not only reproducing its appearance but also translating its subtle vibration into an image, letting matter and spirit meet through color and form.
-
Looking back, this work feels like an unconscious dialogue between myself and the stone, a resonance that only became visible with time. Variscite here is more than pigment: it is memory, synchronicity, and presence. It reminds us that what accompanies us daily, often unnoticed, can hold deep significance once we are ready to recognize it.
This painting becomes an invitation to slow down, to contemplate the quiet bonds we form with matter, and to honor how symbols and stones can reflect back the hidden rhythms of our lives.

Painted in Warsaw during a time of personal turbulence, this work arose as a search for inner peace. The composition unfolds like both a sky view and a mineral cross-section, where strata of water, stone, and light merge into a single vision. Part of the Mineral Dream series, it extends the exploration of how minerals can reflect inner landscapes and universal patterns.
The deep blues evoke the fluidity of water and the stabilizing presence of mineral veins, while gold leaf introduces a luminous axis, a symbol of dignity, integrity, and the unbreakable core within. This interplay suggests a cartography of resilience, tracing how matter can transform conflict into balance, and fracture into continuity.
-
Mineral Dream N°2 is a meditation on resilience and renewal. The mineral-like forms and shifting blues speak of turbulence turned into flow, while the gold reveals the possibility of light within rupture. Together, they symbolize the coexistence of vulnerability and strength, shadow and radiance.
At its core, the work embodies the capacity to hold one’s ground and voice even when confronted with forces that seek to silence them. It invites contemplation of both the outer and inner landscapes we navigate, horizons seen from above, and unseen dimensions within. As in the mineral world, where pressure and time create beauty, the painting reflects how transformation can emerge from difficulty, and how peace can be reclaimed even in the midst of upheaval.

This painting was created during the stillness of the Covid period, a time when the world collectively paused and many turned inward. Its subject, labradorite, is a mineral recognized for its iridescent flashes of blue, green, and gold, reminiscent of the Northern Lights. Across cultures, it symbolizes the threshold between visible and invisible realms, as well as transformation and protection.
Beyond reproducing its form, the work seeks to convey its shifting light, embodying how illumination can emerge from shadow. Painted in a time of uncertainty, it reflects both introspection and the quiet resilience of inner fire.
-
Labradorite is often regarded as a stone of transformation, a companion during change, awakening intuition and inner strength. Its shimmering surfaces recall the sudden sparks of insight that arise in moments of stillness, like light breaking through darkness.
This work invites viewers to reflect on balance and duality, shadow and radiance, science and mystery, stillness and renewal. Created during a global moment of pause, it stands as both a tribute to the stone’s beauty and a meditation on the hidden dimensions of life that quietly sustain us.
